Uttarakhand : Road improvement being done by villagers, department sleeps Kumbhakarna’s sleep

In Uttarakhand, the government may have been making claims of development, but the ground reality is telling something else. Talking about the hill states of Uttarakhand, the situation of development has become worse than that. The development here seems to be lagging far behind due to the deprivation of departments. We are talking about the development block of Chamoli district, Tharali, where the road is in a worse condition since 1 year. Now the road improvement is being done by the villagers here by donating shram. If the Prime Minister of the country sees this picture, then he will also be forced to think that the country he is taking towards development. How are the top officials of the departments of that country throttling the development? In Uttarakhand, the condition of the road executive organizations is not hidden from anyone, the situation is that once the road is built, then neither the departmental officers nor the contractors come to take care of the construction work on the road, something like this is the sight of Tharali development block. The work of the improvement of the Tharali Chunda Kimni motorway, which connects thousands of people, is being done by the villagers themselves. Now call it the compulsion of the villagers or the lethargy of the departmental officers or the incompetence of the public representatives, but the villagers connecting with this motorway have been pleading with the local administration, regional public representatives and the executive department for the last one year to improve this road. But even after a year, due to non-repair of the damaged part of the road, the villagers themselves have taken the initiative to fill the potholes and repair the road.

In fact, the road construction work was completed in the year 2019 by the executive body NPCC on the Chonda Kimani motorway and the road has been kept under maintenance for five years from 2020 to 2025. For this, an item of 28 lakhs has also been kept, despite this, the NPCC department could not take up the trouble of repairing the damaged road in the last rain There is also the fear of accident, the villagers worked to open the road with their own resources during the rainy season, whereas even after continuous correspondence, due to non-improvement of the damaged road for a year, there was resentment among the villagers towards the NPCC department and the local public representatives. has happened.
