Uttarakhand / Rudrapur : Refusing to marry by raping, girl commits suicide
The girl consumed poison after her lover refused to marry her. He died during treatment in the hospital. In the suicide note, the girl has also accused the youth of raping her on the pretext of marriage. The relatives submitted the complaint to the police. Police has registered a case against the accused youth and his relatives.
A woman living in a village under Bara police post submitted a complaint to Pulbhatta police. Told that his younger daughter’s love affair was with Kichha behind Chetan’s son Hariram resident of Punjabi Mohalla Purana Government Hospital. Chetan raped her on the pretext of marriage. On coming to know about the matter, the family members of the girl tried to get both of them married. But the young man and his family started refusing. After the panchayat, Chetan and his brothers Jitendra Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Suraj Pal and Chetan’s nephew Akhilesh Gangwar, Mukesh Gangwar’s son Shankar Lal and brother-in-law Shankar Lal’s son Kundan Lal, resident of village Bara got ready for marriage on May 6. Chetan and his family did not reach for the wedding on the scheduled date. On interrogation, Chetan threatened to kill the girl. On May 10, the girl again called Chetan, but he refused to marry. On this, the girl wrote a suicide note and ate the poisonous substance. After which the girl’s family took her to Sitarganj CHC. The relatives told that here the girl gave her statement in front of the magistrate. Later, the doctors, seeing his serious condition, referred him to Bareilly. During treatment in Bareilly, the girl died on May 11. The girl’s mother has given a complaint to Pulbhatta police and demanded action against the accused. According to the police, in the suicide note, the girl has given the reason for her suicide as a slander to her and her family.
The girl has attributed her death to the accused Chetan, her brothers Jitendra Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Suraj Pal and Chetan’s nephew Akhilesh Gangwar, Mukesh Gangwar son Shankar Lal and brother-in-law Shankar Lal son Kundan Lal. The police have registered a case against the accused.
