In Kashipur, Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTU) and police arrested seven youths and eight girls from a hotel under the Immoral Trafficking Act. Three married women and two teenagers were also among the arrested women. The involvement of the hotel operator and his wife in prostitution has also come to the fore. Police are also raiding in search of them. Based on the information on Saturday evening, Traffic Cell Rudrapur and Kunda police station in-charge Pradeep Negi, led by Anti Human Trafficking Cell’s Inspector Basanti Arya, raided Paradise Hotel located in village Sarwarkheda. The team searched all the rooms of the hotel. There, seven youths and eight women were caught under suspicious circumstances. Many of them did not have identity cards. He was not even entered in the hotel records. Police have also recovered incriminating items from the spot.

Police said that during interrogation, all the accused admitted to being involved in unethical prostitution. During investigation, the police came to know that hotel operator Vedprakash Chauhan and his wife run a sex racket.

SP Chandra Mohan Singh said that in this case a case has been registered in Kunda police station under Immoral Prostitution Act, Molestation and POCSO Act. Two teenagers are among the arrested accused, while three married women are also involved. The SP said that the police are looking for the hotel operator and his wife.

At the same time, earlier on May 9, in Rudrapur, the police busted a sex racket operating in the hotel. Police recovered a huge amount of objectionable material and Rs 1500 from the hotel and arrested the hotel operator and the woman involved in prostitution. The police have registered a case against both of them under the Immoral Prostitution Act and presented them in the court.

The Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) received information that prostitution was going on in a hotel in the transit camp police station area of ​​the city. The hotel also has a dhaba with a massage center. On this, the AHTU team of police reached the hotel on Monday afternoon. According to AHTU inspector Basanti Arya, a woman was in a compromising condition in a room on the second floor of the hotel.

The woman was accompanied by a man who escaped by dodging the police. However, the hotel operator and the woman did not tell anything about the man who ran away. Prostitution was going on in the hotel for five months. The police have found pictures of many young women on the phone of the hotel operator and chatting with people.

When the hotel operator was arrested and questioned, he told that he is Nitai Sarkar, resident of Kaushalpur, Bilaspur, who runs a hotel near SIDCUL. At the same time, the woman told that she is originally a resident of Medinipur, West Bengal. Nitai brings a customer in return for which she takes half of the amount received and Nitai takes the rest. The woman told that Nitai has given her a room in the hotel for free. When the police asked for the customer entry register of the hotel, that too was not found from the spot. Police registered a case against both including Nitai Sarkar under the Immoral Prostitution Act and presented them in the court.

AHTU Inspector Basanti Arya told that when the woman was questioned, she told that she had come from West Bengal. Nitai used to get him prostitution in the name of getting him to work in the dhaba. After dealing with customers, Nitai used to bring them to him. The hotel operator told that he was doing this business to earn more money. AHTU Inspector Basanti Arya said that due to its proximity to SIDCUL, the hotel was crowded with customers throughout the day.
