A mother’s love died when she left her daughter in the forest as soon as she was born. The next day when she went to see in the forest, the daughter’s breath had stopped. It is being told that the woman showed such cruelty when she was the third daughter. Police registered a case and arrested the accused woman.

The Child Welfare Committee had received information about the dead body of a newborn lying in the forests near Dauligad village. When the people of the committee reached there with the police, the body was not found. After this the police started investigating the matter. It was learned that a pregnant woman from the area has been missing since May 10 along with her three children (two daughters and one son).

It was revealed that the woman was living in a rented house in Gangolihat. On interrogation, the woman told that on May 6, she had given birth to a girl child in the forest of the village, but in the desire of the son, she wrapped the girl in a cloth and kept it there.

The next day she went to the forest again but by then the girl had died, so she kept the girl wrapped in a cloth in the pit. Here, when the police reached the place on Saturday with the woman, the body of the newborn was not found there. Based on the tahrir of SHO Pratap Singh Negi, the police station has registered a case against the accused woman under sections 315, 317, 201 of IPC. Police arrested the woman and challaned her. It is being told that the woman’s husband works in Chandigarh. Now he too has come home. Prema’s three children are now living with their father and grandmother.
