The doors of Shri Hemkund Sahib opened, 5000 devotees led by Panch Pyaras bowed down

The doors of Shri Hemkund Sahib were opened on Sunday morning at ten o’clock by law. Five thousand devotees led by the Panch Pyaras witnessed this moment. Around 9 o’clock the Guru Granth Sahib was brought to the Darbar Sahib under the leadership of the Panch Pyaras. At ten o’clock on Sunday morning, five thousand devotees, led by the Panch Pyaras, paid obeisance at Hemkund Sahib. Devotees take bath in the holy lake. The first batch of five thousand pilgrims from Govindghat Gurdwara led by Panch Pyars reached Ghangaria on Saturday afternoon. Along with the Gurdwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Management Trust, the district administration has finalized all the travel preparations at Hemkund Sahib, Ghangaria and other travel stops.

The process of opening the doors of Hemkund Sahib started at 9.30 am. The Guru Granth Sahib was brought from Sachkhand and kept in Darbar Sahib. After this Sukhmani was recited at 10 in the morning. After this the doors of Hemkund Sahib were opened for the devotees. On Saturday, at around 9 in the morning at Govindghat Gurdwara, the devotees thronged the waters of Alaknanda, led by Panch Pyars, accompanied by the chants of Jo Bole So Nihal, accompanied by the tunes of the band that arrived from Punjab. After this the batch of pilgrims left for Hemkund Sahib. Hemkund Sahib Trust Vice-Chairman Narendrajit Singh Bindra presented a dupatta to the Panj Pyaras and pilgrims at the Gurdwara here and left for Ghangharia.

Narendrajit Singh Bindra, Vice President of Hemkund Trust said that two years after Corona, the pilgrimage to Hemkund Sahib has started. Only five thousand pilgrims will be allowed to visit Hemkund Sahib in a day. Pilgrims will be allowed to visit Hemkund Sahib only after consultation with doctors at Govindghat.
