Uttarakhand / Dehradun : 30 dumpers engaged in illegal mining, overloaded vehicles were hidden in the fields

District Magistrate Dr R Rajesh Kumar has directed all the SDMs to take strict action by conducting regular raids on the information of illegal mining, storage and illegal transportation in their respective areas. In this sequence, SDM Vikasnagar caught 30 overloaded dumpers filled with mining material hidden in the fields in Kulhal area and all have been seized. The owners of the arrested vehicles are being contacted.

According to the instructions of the District Magistrate, regular raids are being conducted on illegal mining and illegal transportation of mining. In this sequence, under the leadership of SDM Vikasnagar Vinod Kumar under Tehsil Vikasnagar, major action was taken on illegal mining in Kunja village and Ramgarh under outpost Kulhal area by the team of Tehsil Administration and Mining Department. 30 overloaded dumpers filled with mining material hidden in the fields were caught and all have been seized. The owners of the arrested vehicle are being contacted. If the mining material is found transporting against the prescribed route, action has been taken to seize the vehicle with the material and double the fine of the prescribed material has been taken. District Magistrate Dr R Rajesh Kumar said that all SDMs have been instructed to take prompt action on illegal mining and to conduct raids regularly. Along with this, instructions have been given to conduct checking operations on other routes through which illegal mining is likely to be transported.
