Uttarakhand / Nainital : Angry lawyers jammed for an hour in Tallital scolding
On Friday, on the initiative of Nainital District Bar Association, there was a jam for about 1 hour in Tallital Danth from 11:00 to 12:00. The road leading to Raj Bhavan and Collectorate from Tallital Phansi Gadhera and Mallital Masjid was closed by the administration. The jam could be opened after the arrival of SSP Pankaj Bhatt.
Let us inform that the convocation ceremony of Kumaun University was held at DSB campus here from 11:00 am on Friday. In which the Governor of the state Gurmeet Singh was attending the program as the chief guest and Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat as the special guest. Due to the VIP movement, the road leading to the District Court and the Collector was closed by the police administration from hanging here and the advocates were diverted towards the mosque.
The road leading to Masjid Tiraha was closed on reaching Mallital. Due to which the angry lawyers reached back to Tallital scolding and blocked it here. Advocates said that the administration cannot close any route without making alternative arrangements. Due to this disorder of the administration, the prisoners including advocates, litigants, relatives and other advocates related to the case could not go to the district court. Due to which other important work including judicial was adversely affected.
The injured present in two vehicles belonging to the emergency service also faced difficulties during the jam imposed by the advocates. Later they were somehow evicted. In view of the protest of the advocates, Tallital police station president Rohtash Sagar left the business of DSB premises and scolded him. Meanwhile, CO Sandeep Negi also reached the spot. But the matter was resolved after the arrival of Senior Superintendent of Police Pankaj Bhatt after the lawyers’ hut. Dozens of advocates and residents, including District Bar President Neeraj Sah, Pradeep Pargai, Manish Joshi, Pushpa Joshi, Sanjay Suyal, Bhuvan Joshi Bhuvan Bhatt were present among the protesters.
