Big decision of AAP government of Punjab, security of 424 VIPs removed
The AAP government of Punjab has withdrawn the security of 424 VIPs. Among the VIPs whose security was withdrawn include many retired officers and former MLAs. It is being said that before withdrawing the security, the new Punjab government had held a review meeting on this issue in which it was discussed whether 424 people need security.
After this meeting, the state government has issued orders to cut security. One of the reasons for the withdrawal of security is also being told that there is already a huge shortage of staff in the Punjab Police. In such a situation, it is becoming difficult to meet the shortage of security personnel at common places to maintain law and order.

These 424 people include retired Police officers, religious leaders and political leaders.

Let us tell you that earlier in April, the Punjab government had ordered the withdrawal of security of 184 people including former ministers and former MLAs and other leaders. Significantly, the security of the family of former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Captain Amarinder Singh’s son Raninder Singh and wife of Congress MLA Partap Singh Bajware has been withdrawn last month.
