‘The power of a sack of urea will be found in a bottle’, PM Modi inaugurates IFFCO Nano Urea Plant in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat, inaugurated IFFCO’s Nano Urea (Liquid) Plant at Kalol. Addressing the people associated with the cooperative society on this occasion, PM Modi said that it is very important for the villages to be self-reliant to build a self-reliant India. The PM said that cooperative is also a great medium for self-reliance of villages.

Regarding IFFCO Naina Urea (Liquid) Plant, PM said – Today I feel special pleasure while inaugurating the country’s first Nano Urea Liquid Plant for self-sufficient agriculture. He said that the power of a sack of urea is now contained in a bottle. About half a liter bottle of Nano Urea, one sack of the farmer will meet the requirement of urea.

The PM further said- Till 7-8 years ago, instead of going to our farm, most of the urea used to become a victim of black marketing and the farmer was forced to eat sticks for his needs. Many big factories were closed due to lack of technology. After coming to the government, we did the work of 100 percent neem coating of urea. This ensured that every farmer of the country would get urea in sufficient quantity.

PM Modi said that in the urea that India imports from abroad, a 50 kg bag of urea costs Rs 3,500, but the farmer of the country gets the same urea bag for only Rs 300. The government bears the burden of Rs 3,200 on each bag. The PM said that the central government has given a subsidy of Rs 1.60 lakh crore in fertilizer last year so that the farmer of the country does not face any problem. Apart from this, the relief to the farmers is going to be more than two lakh crore rupees this year.

Referring to the campaign of self-reliant India, PM Modi said that cooperative is the best model of self-reliance. He said that the government will continue to do whatever is necessary in the interest of the farmers of the country.
