Uttarakhand / Haldwani : Veterinary hospital of Lalkuan turning into ruins, doctors are forced to treat animals in the shadow of fear
Due to departmental negligence, the Veterinary Hospital at Lalkuan is turning into ruins. Due to lack of maintenance, the condition of this veterinary hospital is deteriorating day by day. Necessary facilities are not even available in the hospital for the staff and the attendants accompanying the sick animals. For the past several years, the condition of this hospital is so bad that even the staff here feel the fear of treating the animals by sitting in the dilapidated building of the hospital that they do not know when the roof of the building collapses. But they are compelled to treat the animals in such conditions.
On the other hand, Dr. Govind Singh Khati, in-charge of Veterinary Hospital, says that he has corresponded many times with his officers in this regard so that people coming to the hospital for treatment of their animals do not have to face any problem. But the higher officials of the department get away with saying there is lack of budget.
Let us inform that many acres of land is lying vacant in this veterinary hospital located in Lalkuan, in which the upliftment of the only veterinary hospital of the area can be done easily by constructing new buildings, but due to the negligence of the district administration and departmental officials, the dilapidated building is running in the building. Upgradation of this veterinary hospital is not being done and the treatment of animals is going on in the dilapidated hospital building.
