UPSC result declared, Jamia student Shruti Sharma tops

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of UPSC Civil Services Exam 2021 today, 30th May. Candidates can check their respective results from the official website – upsc.gov.in.
Shruti Sharma has secured first position all over the country in the result declared by UPSC. Interestingly, this year all the top three positions have been occupied by girls. Shruti is an alumnus of St Stephen’s College and Jawaharlal Nehru University and was currently preparing for UPSC Civil Services Examination at the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) of Jamia Millia Islamia.
After Shruti Sharma, Ankita Agarwal has secured the second position and Gamini Singhla has got the third position. A total of 685 candidates have been declared selected in the UPSC CSE 2021 Final Result. And 80 candidates have been recommended for selection provisionally. Apart from this, the result of one candidate has been withheld now.
Every year lakhs of candidates aspire to become an IAS, IPS officer, appear in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. This exam is considered to be one of the most challenging competitive exams in the country. Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS) and Indian Foreign Services (IFS), Railway Group A (Indian Railway Accounts Service), Indian Postal Services, Indian Postal Service, Indian Trade Services and other services through UPSC Civil Services is selected for. UPSC Civil Services exam is conducted in three stages – Preliminary, Main exam and Interview. Final merit list is released on the basis of performance in main exam and interview.
