On Tuesday, a meeting was organized at Ramlila Maidan on behalf of Van Panchayat Sarpanch Organization Someshwar. In this, the sarpanches of forest panchayats accused former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat of neglecting forest panchayats and misusing government funds in the Kosi river regeneration scheme, the dream project.
The president of the organization, Vinod Pandey said that under the Kosi regeneration scheme, government funds were heavily misused in the origin areas of the Kosi river. The applause of the plan was looted without working on the ground. In the meeting, displeasure was expressed on the Forest Department for not doing any cooperation in saving the forests from fire at the time of fire. It was said that till date the Lisa royalty has not been paid to the Van Panchayats. The works to be done from Lisa Royalty were demanded to be done on the approval of the Forest Officer. A demand was made to get the works of Kosi river regeneration scheme and Amrit Sarovar scheme done by the forest panchayats. The organization has also sent a memorandum of demands to the Chief Minister and the Forest Minister. Dinkar Prakash Joshi, Jeevan Singh, Anand Singh, Lal Singh, Lalit Kaida, Yogesh Chandra Joshi, Naveen Joshi, Balwant Singh etc. were present in the meeting.
