Uttarakhand / Kotdwar: Railing of culvert broken near Amsaur on the highway, danger
The railing of the culvert is broken near Amsaur between Kotdwar-Dugadda on the National Highway. In view of the danger of accidents, the department has not made elaborate security arrangements. In such a situation, travelers and local people are forced to move in danger.
About a decade ago, a culvert was constructed on the highway near Amsaur. Then railings were put up on both sides of the culvert for security. About a month ago, the railing of the culvert was broken due to a collision with a vehicle, due to which there is a danger of vehicles falling into the ditch here. On the said highway, there is pressure of vehicles of Pauri district headquarters, tourist town Lansdowne, Tadkeshwar and Char Dham Yatra. For about a month, vehicles are passing in danger near the broken railing, but there is no one to take care of the culvert. Birender Singh, Inder Mohan Juyal, Ramchandra Juyal and Shashi Bhushan Amoli said that the railing of the culvert has been broken for almost a month. Even after complaining to the officials of the department several times, no action is being taken to construct the railing of the culvert.
