After the continuous protests over the controversial statement, BJP has taken action against its leaders. According to the news of news agency ANI, the party has suspended Nupur Sharma. At the same time, Naveen Kumar Jindal has been expelled from the party. In the expulsion letter issued by the party to BJP’s Delhi State Media Chief Naveen Kumar Jindal, it has been written that you have expressed thoughts that incite communal harmony on social media. This is against the core idea of ​​the Bharatiya Janata Party. On the other hand, in the letter issued regarding Nupur Sharma, it has been written that you have expressed contrary views of the party. Which is against Rule 10 (a) of the party’s constitution. You are suspended from the party till the whole matter is investigated.

Earlier, the party’s national general secretary and headquarters in-charge Arun Singh said, “BJP does not accept insults to the worshipers of any religion. Any idea that hurts the sentiments of any religion or sect is not acceptable. In the letter issued on Sunday by the headquarters in-charge, it was said, “Every religion has flourished in the history of India for thousands of years. Bharatiya Janata Party respects all religions. BJP will not insult any religious person of any religion.” Strongly condemns it. The party is strongly against any ideology, which insults any sect or religion. BJP does not propagate any such ideology.”

Here the Mumbai Police has registered a case against Nupur Sharma. Based on the complaint of Irfan Sheikh, Joint Secretary, Mumbai Wing of Raza Academy, an FIR has been registered against Sharma. It said that Sharma had allegedly made controversial remarks about Prophet Mohammad in a debate on a news channel on the Gyanvapi issue. Apart from this, Jindal had allegedly tweeted against the interests of the country. Let us inform that after the comments made by Sharma and Jindal, many Twitter users from Gulf countries raised their voice for boycott of products made in India. Some Twitter users wrote, “Such leaders should be sent to jail immediately, otherwise we will hit the streets to get them arrested.”

It is worth noting that Nupur Sharma had given a controversial statement about Prophet Mohammad during a debate show on an English TV channel. Since then his statement is being condemned across the country. Recently, there was an incident of violence during the protest in Kanpur.
