Jammu and Kashmir : Police gets success in Anantnag, Hizbul Mujahideen commander killed in encounter
For the past few days, many terrorist organizations have become active in Jammu and Kashmir, which are targeting Kashmiri Pandits as well as other people one after the other. Due to this, the security system has been tightened and along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, security forces are intensifying the search operation in many sensitive areas and eliminating the terrorists.
In the latest case, the Jammu and Kashmir Police got a big success on Saturday when a commander of banned terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) was killed in an encounter with security forces in Anantnag district. Giving information after the encounter, the police have said that they have recovered AK 47 rifle and many other arms and ammunition from the terrorist.
Hizbul Mujahideen commander killed
Giving information, Inspector General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir Police, Vijay Kumar said that ‘Terrorist commander Nisar Khande of terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen was killed in an encounter with security forces. Arms and ammunition including one AK 47 rifle have been recovered from him. For now, the operation is going on.
Encounter occurred during search operation
It is being told that on Friday, security agencies had received a specific input about the presence of terrorists in Rishipora area of Anantnag. After this, the Army and CRPF, along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, started an intensive search operation, cordoning off the area. During which a commander of Hizbul Mujahideen was killed during an encounter with the security forces.
One civilian including three jawans injured
The Jammu and Kashmir Police has informed that during the siege, the hiding terrorists had opened fire on the security forces. During which three army personnel and a civilian were injured in the firing. After this, all those injured in the firing were immediately taken to the 92 Base Hospital, Srinagar.
