Deteriorating patience of Kashmiri Pandits, said – J&K’s bureaucracy is unable to handle the crisis

Kashmiri Pandits seem to be losing faith in the existing system in Jammu and Kashmir. It is reported that Kashmiri Pandits are alleging that the bureaucracy in Jammu and Kashmir is not capable of solving the ongoing crisis. Along with this, he has also accused the government of destroying the civil society. Recently, several incidents of target killings have come to the fore in the Union Territory.

According to Economic Times, Kashmiri Pandit Sangharsh Samiti chief Sanjay Tikoo said, “There is a silence here and no one knows who will be the next target except the Resistance Force.” “In the last three years, civil society has been deactivated in Kashmir. Otherwise, he too would have been on the spot and raised his voice. Now who will do this? Everyone is afraid of the government, if it speaks then the PSA is waiting for them.

The Kashmir Pandit Sangharsh Samiti is an organization that remained in the Valley despite the exodus in the 1980s. The KPSS has appealed to the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court to order the administration to move all religious minorities to safer places outside Kashmir. According to media reports, pundits are expected to get a reply from the court this week.

The special thing is that a section of Kashmiri Pandits have decided not to participate in the annual Jyeshtha Ashtami festival known as Kheer Bhavani Mela. The festival is celebrated on June 8 at the Kheer Bhavani temple at Tulmulla in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir.
