Uttarakhand / Udhamsinghnagar : Armed miscreants entered PNB Bank of Kashipur, looted lakhs of cash by taking employees to gun point and fled

Armed miscreants carried out a cash robbery incident on Thursday afternoon in the branch of Punjab National Bank on Moradabad Road in Kashipur of Udhamsinghnagar district and fled from the spot waving a gun. There was a stir in the police department on the information of the case.

The police team, who reached the information, took complete information about the incident from the bank employees. Along with this, the CCTV footage of the office is also being scanned. Seven employees including the manager were present in the bank at the time of the incident. According to the police, cash worth Rs 8 to 10 lakh has been looted. At present, the matching of robbery in the bank is going on.

Senior Superintendent of Police Manjunath TC, after taking the statements of bank personnel, said that three armed miscreants were involved in this incident. One of these crooks was present in the bank as a customer for about an hour before. At around 3.30 pm, two armed men entered the bank and during this the miscreant already present in the bank took out the pistol and pointed it at the bank employee in front of the counter number. During this, two other weapons remained frozen near the closed main gate with a pistol. On the strength of the gun, the entire cash kept in the cash counter was looted. After this, all three ran out of the bank waving their guns.

The bank personnel informed the Kotwali police about the robbery in the bank. As soon as the information was received, SP Chandramohan Singh, Kotwal Manoj Raturi reached the spot and took information about the robbery from the bank personnel. During this, the footage of the three armed men was captured through the CCTV installed in the bank. During this, statements of three people were also taken as customers in the bank.

SSP Manjunath TC said that seven different teams have been formed in the bank robbery case. In which the main responsibility has been entrusted by including CO Bajpur, CO Kashipur Bir Singh and CO Ashish Bhardwaj. The team will be headed by the Kashipur Superintendent of Police himself.
