Uttarakhand / Rudrapur : Four-year-old girl kidnapped in Rudrapur, ransom of 15 lakhs demanded
After kidnapping a four-year-old girl from Kheda late on Saturday evening, the miscreants demanded a ransom of Rs 15 lakh. Due to this the girl’s family got panic. There was panic in the police department. On Sunday, police teams kept running in search of the girl. Later, with the help of surveillance, four accused including a woman were arrested.
Shahid Navi, a resident of Kheda of Kotwali area, does contracting. Shahid’s four-year-old daughter Rida suddenly went missing from outside the house at around 4 pm on Saturday. The relatives searched for the daughter around, but when nothing was found till late in the night, they lodged a complaint at the police post. Late night at around 10 pm, a call came from an unknown number on the mobile of the daughter’s father. The caller said that the daughter would reach home by 11 am on Sunday, but on Sunday morning, the family members got a call from another unknown number. The caller demanded a ransom of Rs 15 lakh to send the daughter home safely.
Here, after the ransom call came, the police and SOG team went out to raid different areas in search of Rida. With the help of CCTV and surveillance, the police arrested three accused, Shafi Ahmed, resident of Kheda, Shahrukh, resident of Banbhulpura Haldwani, Firoz Malik, resident of Sir Gotia, near Sanjay Forest on Haldwani Road.
During interrogation, all the three accused confessed to kidnapping. After this, the police brought Rida from the house of Chhoti, a resident of Banbhulpura, Haldwani, on the behest of the accused and handed her over to the family members. At the same time, the police also arrested the accused Choti. The police have registered a case against the four accused under sections 364, 506 and 120B. SSP Dr. Manjunath TC has announced a reward of ten thousand rupees to the team that uncovered. Along with this, the DGP and DIG will recommend reward to the police team.
Rida went to the grocery store in front of the house
Rudrapur. The kidnapped girl from Kheda had gone to the grocery store in front of the house on Saturday evening to get the goods. Meanwhile, the neighbor sitting there, Shafi, along with his two companions Shahrukh and Firoz, carried out the incident.
Shafi kidnapped to repay loan of Rs 15 lakh
Rudrapur. Shafi, the main accused in the kidnapping of the girl child, is a tailor living in the neighborhood of Rida. A few days ago, Shafi had got a loan of Rs 15 lakh. Apart from this, he also had to pay an installment of Rs 50,000 on Monday. Because of this, Shafi along with his partner Shahrukh and Firoz committed this incident while Shafi’s female partner Chhoti had hidden the girl in her house.
Relatives were not blown away after receiving the child
After catching the girl child from the kidnapper’s captivity, the police handed her over to the family members. The family members were not happy after taking the child in their arms. However, during this time the eyes of the girl’s mother and father also filled with tears. Rida’s father Shahid thanked the police team. Meanwhile, SSP Dr. Manjunath TC and SP Manoj Katyal also gave chocolate to the girl by taking her in her arms.

▪️10:45 am – Police swung into action and started scanning CCTVs installed around. Also put the mobile number of the caller on surveillance. The police kept tracking the numbers of the accused throughout the night.

▪️10:30 am – Police received a report of a ransom.
▪️12:00 am – The police team tracked the location of the accused and set out for the recovery of the girl child.
▪️5:00 PM: After four hours of struggle, the police team came to Rudrapur with the girl.
