Uttarakhand / Champawat : SOP issued to provide relief after road accident
To prevent the increasing road accidents in the district and to provide immediate help, the district administration has issued SOP. Under this, the responsibility of the heads of the departments concerned has been fixed. A warning of action has been given for negligence in work.
DM Narendra Singh Bhandari has issued SOP to reduce accidents and start immediate relief and rescue work after the accident. In case of road accident, the District Disaster Management Officer has been asked to immediately inform the DM and ADM. The responsibility of contacting the nearest head of the accident site has been given to the DPRO. It will be the responsibility of the Revenue Inspector to collect complete information about the affected people of road accidents. It will be the responsibility of the SDM of the concerned area to send the Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar to the spot and contact the SDM of the concerned district if it is adjacent to the border of another district.
The CMO will always keep an ambulance ready with all the equipment.
