Will Chinese soldiers be stationed in Pakistan? Why this project of Dragon increased India’s tension

An order was signed by Chinese President Xi Jinping on June 13, under which Chinese troops can be deployed in other countries. According to the order, Chinese soldiers can be deployed in other countries for other purposes other than war, such as disaster assistance, humanitarian aid, besides protecting China’s security, sovereignty and interests. Experts believe that this order can be used for the first time in Pakistan.

Crisis on China’s CPEC?

China has invested billions of dollars in Pakistan, which seem to be in danger due to unrest in Pakistan. These investments have been made for several projects such as building the Gwadar port in Balochistan and building a Chinese settlement near it. China has invested the most money on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor ie CPEC. Under this, China wants to bring its energy supply directly from Pakistan instead of the long and dangerous route of the Indian Ocean. For this, China has built roads and railways crossing the Himalayas.

Will this Chinese project harm India?

This corridor passes through Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) which India claims as its own. The Indian Parliament has also declared that POK is an integral part of India. The Chinese Corridor passes through Pakistan and goes through the Khunjerab Pass of POK to Xinjiang province of China. If India occupied PoK, then China will not only have to suffer heavy losses but its supply line will also be cut. China has tried to reduce this pressure by building a fighter base near Khunjerab Pass in 2021. Chinese soldiers have been seen in this area before, but after this order, they will have the constitutional right to deploy to stop any operation in PoK.

Opposition to Chinese plan in Pakistan too

Let us tell you that the danger is not only from India. Even inside Pakistan, Baloch and Pashtun agitators are angry with Chinese projects. They believe that China is looting Pakistan’s resources through these projects and is leading Pakistan towards economic slavery. There have been many attacks on Chinese projects and the Chinese employees working in them, and Chinese citizens have also lost their lives. However, for the protection of Chinese projects, two new divisions of the Pakistan Army have been created, whose expenses have been borne by China. But China does not trust Pakistan’s army in its security. After this order, Chinese soldiers can now soon be deployed in Pakistan to protect Chinese projects.
