Nepal’s petty act after China, captured so much of India

Nepal has encroached upon five hectares of India’s land on the Indo-Nepal border in Champawat, Uttarakhand. Giving this information, an official of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) said that the force has sent a report in this regard to the Union Home Ministry.

Report sent to government

At the same time, the Forest Department has also sent a report to the government regarding the encroachment of Nepal. According to the Forest Department, under the encroachment done on this land in the last three decades, along with pucca construction, temporary huts and shops have also been built.

This encroachment did not happen in a jiffy

Seema Sashastra Bal (SSB) Assistant Commandant Abhinav Tomar said about Nepal’s encroachment on Indian land that it has not been done recently. He said that the report of Nepal’s encroachment has been sent to the highest level. Now the teams of Survey of India and Survey of Nepal will do the survey and clarify the situation.

Encroachment on this boundary

On the other hand, according to the Forest Department, many places in Brahmadev, including Sharda Island of Indo-Nepal border adjoining Tanakpur Sharda range of the district, have been encroached by Nepal for the last 30 years. Tanakpur Ranger Mahesh Bisht told that Nepal has encroachment on about five hectares of land in the Indian forest area along the border. Bisht said that along with the pucca houses of Nepal, temporary huts and shops have been built at the places of encroachment. He said that the Forest Department has also sent the report of encroachment from its level to the Uttarakhand Government and the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
