Uttarakhand / Kashipur : The woman, with the help of Maneka Gandhi, filed a case against her father-in-law and brother-in-law after beating a dog with a bat.

Similarly, in Kashipur, two people beat the dog to death with a bat. The matter was hanged by the police for four months. Later, the woman mailed the former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi, when a case was registered against the accused.
Rekha, a resident of village Kudaiyawala in Kunda police station area of Kashipur, says that four months ago, she had given a complaint to the Kunda police station. Said that her husband Pankaj Kumar is a teacher in Salt (Almora) and she lives next to her father-in-law Surendra Singh’s house. A dog used to walk around her house, which she often fed. It is alleged that on February 22 at around 7:40 pm, his father-in-law Surendra and brother-in-law Amit Kumar brutally killed the dog with a cricket bat. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.

Rekha, who lives in Kashipur, tells that in today’s era, cruelty towards animals is increasing. She was disappointed with the way she has been running in the system for four months with a case. He told that even after this cruelty with the dog was captured in the CCTV, no case was registered in the case. He got tired and the teacher’s son of the accused contacted former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi through e-mail. On the intervention of Maneka Gandhi, the police have registered a case against the father and brother of the complainant teacher under the Animal Cruelty Act.
