Attention those who sacrifice on Eid-ul-Adha, “Islamic Center of India” issued guidelines

Eid-ul-Azha i.e. Bakrid, one of the major festivals of Islam, will be celebrated across the country on Sunday, July 10, 2022, this year. Before Bakrid, the Islamic Center of India in Lucknow has issued a guideline. These 11 points have been appealed to Muslims to follow. Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahli said that it is necessary to sacrifice every financially capable Muslim.

  1. It is necessary for every Muslim to make sacrifices on Eid-ul-Adha.
  2. Sacrifice for three days of Bakrid is not a ritual but a favorite worship of God Pak. In these days, there can be no other noble act instead of sacrifice.
  3. Make sacrifices within the legal limits.
  4. As always, this time also those animals should be sacrificed, which are not legally banned.
  5. Special care should be taken of cleanliness at the place of sacrifice.
  6. The work of sacrifice should not be carried out in open and public places.
  7. Do not put the animals on the dirt roads and streets, but use municipal dustbins.
  8. Don’t shed the blood of sacrifice in the drains, but bury it in the raw soil. Due to which it becomes manure for the trees and plants.
  9. One-third of the meat should be packed well and given to the poor and needy.
  10. Photos and videos of sacrifice should not be made and also should not be put on social media.
  11. Do not throw away the skins of the sacrificed animals, but give them in madrasas.

According to the Islamic calendar, Eid is celebrated twice a year. One is Eid ul Azha and the other Eid ul Fitr. Eid ul Fitr, also known as Meethi Eid. It is celebrated at the end of the month of Ramadan. After about 70 days Bakrid is celebrated.
