Free ration people will get free treatment, campaign will run soon in UP
Those who are most eligible for Ayushman Yojana, their Ayushman cards have not been made yet. The issue is related to Antyodaya beneficiaries. In UP, only 18 percent of Antyodaya beneficiaries have got Ayushman cards. While their number is more than 40 lakhs. All Antyodaya cardholders are Aadhaar linked. Thus, the chances of fraud are also negligible. Now Antyodaya Ayushman fortnight has been started in the state to give them the benefit of Ayushman. On 23 July 2021, arrangements were made to give benefit of Chief Minister Jan Arogya Abhiyan to 40 lakh 79 thousand Antyodaya ration card holder families of the state. Even after the passage of one year, only 18.63 percent of the beneficiaries have got the Ayushman card. Whereas with the help of Aadhar card and ration card of Antyodaya beneficiaries, Ayushman card can be made easily by verification. The Chief Secretary had also expressed displeasure about this in the review in the past.
Camps will be held at ration shops in a special fortnight
Now the blueprint for making Ayushman cards of Antyodaya beneficiaries in mission mode has been prepared. Antyodaya Ayushman fortnight will run till July 20 in the state. Amit Mohan Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department has issued instructions to all the District Magistrates. During this special campaign, all Antyodaya beneficiaries have to be verified and their Ayushman card is to be made. The districts have been asked to prepare an action plan on the basis of village wise and ward wise data provided by Sanchiz. All those ration shops have been asked to set up camps from where ration is distributed to Antyodaya card holders.
The task force will review every day
Instructions have been given to constitute a task force under the chairmanship of the CDO in the districts. This will include the nodal officers of Food and Logistics, Panchayati Raj, Rural Development Department, ICDS etc. The task force will review the campaign daily. If the number of beneficiaries is more than 50 in the village or ward, then the camp will be held for more than one day.
