Uttarakhand / Kotdwar : Farmers upset due to terror of wild animals

The people of many villages of Jaiharikhal and Rikhnikhal blocks of Pauri district of the district are troubled by the terror of wild animals. Wild animals are destroying people’s standing crops in the fields.

Presently, the plantation of paddy is going on in many villages including Badgaon, Dhontiyal, Biltiya and Ramisera of Jaiharikhal block, but the wild boar is trampling their planted saplings at night, due to which the villagers have to be rattled. At the same time, villagers of many villages of Rikhnikhal block are also facing similar situation. Pigs and monkeys have badly trampled people’s crops and vegetables and destroyed them. The cultivators Balwant Singh, Manoj Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Ashish Kumar, Vijay Negi, Anand Prasad, Jayanand etc. told that wild animals are destroying their hard work, hence their mind is getting tired of farming. The villagers have demanded a concrete policy from the government in this regard.
