Uttar Pradesh : I am waiting to get ‘divorce’ from Akhilesh Yadav – Om Prakash Rajbhar

It is said in the politics of Uttar Pradesh that the friendship of SP with its alliance parties does not last long. Coalitions take place before elections and after elections, alliances break. The parties that go together in the elections shoulder to shoulder do not even make eye contact after the elections. In the 2017 elections, the SP had an alliance with the Congress. Elections were held, lost and after that now both the parties do not even look at each other with a tear. Similar is the situation of SP with BSP. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the SP had an alliance with Mayawati’s Bahujan Samajwadi Party. BSP benefited from this but SP remained in loss. After the elections, their alliance broke down and now there is a snake-mongoose situation in both the parties. After this, in the recently held assembly elections, SP tied up with many smaller parties. Elections were held and Akhilesh Yadav’s aspirations and hopes were dashed. Like in 2017, BJP came to power and the pre-poll alliance of SP also started repeating its record. They have parted ways with the alliance partner, the Mahan Dal and the People’s Socialist Party, Akhilesh Yadav. Now Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party is preparing to part ways from the alliance.

There was bitterness in the press conference

SubhaSP national president Om Prakash Rajbhar said that he is waiting to get ‘divorce’ from Akhilesh Yadav and he will not take initiative from his level to break the alliance with SP. The tussle between the Subhaspa and the SP was also seen in the press conference of the joint candidate of the opposition for the post of President Yashwant Sinha on Thursday because the SP had called the alliance partner RLD chief Jayant Singh in this press conference but Subhaspa chief Om Prakash Rajbhar was not visible.

Rajbhar said that he will not take initiative from his level to break the alliance with SP. Speaking on the media reports about the tussle with SP, he said, “He is waiting to get ‘talaq’ from SP’s national president Akhilesh Yadav.” He said, “He is still with SP. If SP national president Akhilesh Yadav does not want to keep him with him, then he will not be forcibly with SP.

Will announce on July 12 regarding support in presidential election

When asked about SP national president Akhilesh Yadav not attending the meeting organized in support of the joint presidential candidate of opposition parties Yashwant Sinha, he said that Akhilesh Yadav must have forgotten, so did not invite him to the meeting. Responding to a question, Rajbhar said he would announce his decision on the issue of support for the presidential election on July 12. He said he would speak to party workers in Mau on Friday and Ballia and Ghazipur on Saturday and would make his decision public after that. When asked about Yashwant Sinha’s support, he said that nothing is decided yet.
