Shiv Sena MPs asked Uddhav Thackeray to support NDA candidate in Presidential election

Uddhav Thackeray’s MP, who has lost the chief minister’s chair due to rebels and BJP in Maharashtra, wants to support NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu in the presidential election. On Monday, a meeting of party MPs was held in Matoshree, in which they expressed their willingness to support Murmu. However, the final decision has been left to Uddhav.

Shiv Sena MP Gajanan Kirtikar told Dainik Bhaskar that in the meeting held in Matoshree, there was a discussion among the MPs regarding the presidential election. Most of the MPs are in favor of NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu. However, Uddhav Thackeray will take a final call on this.

4 MPs absent from the meeting
4 out of 18 MPs did not attend the meeting. Of these, 2 MPs expressed their inability to come due to personal reasons. At the same time, two MPs Bhavna Gawli and Shrikant Shinde, who are considered to be of Eknath Shinde faction, were also absent from the meeting. Bhavna Gawli was recently removed from the post of the party’s chief whip in the Lok Sabha by Shiv Sena. Apart from this, Shrikant Shinde is the son of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

At the same time, only three Rajya Sabha MPs Sanjay Raut and Priyanka Chaturvedi attended the meeting. Anil Desai could not come due to being in Delhi.

CJI said- Assembly speaker should not decide on disqualification of Shiv Sena MLAs
After 21 days on the political crisis of Maharashtra, hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Monday. Hearing the petition filed regarding the disqualification of the MLAs, CJI NV Ramana said that at present, the Speaker should not take a decision on this.

The proceedings will remain on hold till the decision of the court comes. The court cannot hear the matter immediately, for this a bench will be constituted. The court asked the Solicitor General (SG), appearing for the Governor, to convey this information to the newly appointed Speaker.

Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Principal Secretary Rajendra Bhagwat had filed a reply in the SC that on July 3, Rahul Narvekar has been elected Speaker of the Assembly. Now he has to look into the matter of disqualification of MLAs. In such a situation, the SC should dispose of the petition of the MLAs challenging the notice sent by the Deputy Speaker and let the new Speaker decide on the disqualification.

Uddhav thackeray reached election commission
After the resignation of the Uddhav government in Maharashtra, the fight has started on whose Shiv Sena. Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray has filed a caveat with the Election Commission. He has appealed to the commission that if Eknath Shinde comes for Shiv Sena’s election symbol, then no decision should be taken without listening to us.

Deputy Speaker gave the affidavit
Here, before the hearing, Deputy Speaker Narhari Jirwal submitted an affidavit. Jirwal said- 16 rebel MLAs were given 48 hours, but they approached the Supreme Court within 24 hours. On June 26, the Supreme Court had heard the notice for cancellation of membership of 16 MLAs of the Eknath Shinde camp, in which the court had asked the deputy speaker, Shiv Sena, the central government and the Maharashtra Police to file their replies.

What happened till now in Maharashtra political crisis?

  • June 20: 15 and 10 independent MLAs of Shiv Sena left Maharashtra and reached Surat. By late night, 5 more MLAs came in their support.
  • June 21: From Surat, a batch of MLAs left for Guwahati. Shinde’s first statement came out on this day. He said that Uddhav Thackeray will have to come out of Mahavikas Aghadi.
  • On June 24, the Deputy Speaker gave disqualification notices to 16 Shiv Sena MLAs. Among them was the name of Eknath Shinde.
  • On June 25, the Shinde faction filed a petition in the Supreme Court. The decision of the Deputy Speaker was declared invalid in the court.
  • The hearing was held in the Supreme Court on 26 June. Court issues notice to Maharashtra Police, Deputy Speaker, Central Government and Shiv Sena.
  • On June 28, the governor asked Uddhav Thackeray to prove his majority. Devendra Fadnavis had made this demand from the Governor.
  • Hearing the petition of Shiv Sena on 29 June, the court refused to immediately stay the governor’s decision.
  • On 29 June, Uddhav Thackeray resigned from the post of Chief Minister. He also left the post of Legislative Council.
  • On June 30, Shiv Sena rebel Eknath Shinde became the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Devendra Fadnavis of BJP was made the Deputy CM.
  • On July 3, BJP’s Rahul Narvekar was elected the new speaker in the assembly. The same day the Speaker gave separate recognition to the Shinde faction.
  • On July 4, Eknath Shinde introduced a majority motion in the assembly and won the floor test.
    Show cause notices to all 53 MLAs of Shiv Sena

Maharashtra Assembly Secretary Rajendra Bhagwat has issued show cause notices to all 53 Shiv Sena MLAs. This notice has been issued on the basis of a complaint lodged by the two factions of Shiv Sena. The MLAs have been asked to reply within a week. 39 Shiv Sena MLAs are in support of Eknath Shinde, while 14 MLAs remain with Uddhav Thackeray. Shinde became CM with the support of BJP.

He was addicted to drugs and often used to demand money from his mother. There used to be a lot of quarrel between the two when the mother refused. The father told that Manmohan was missing from home since the incident. After which, he expressed doubt that maybe his son had committed the murder and set the room on fire. The police already suspected the son The police immediately registered a case against the son and started investigation. After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
