Subramanian Swamy warns Modi on Sri Lanka crisis, said – Lanka crowd should not become India’s refugee, Navy on high alert
BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has warned the Modi government against the protests against the ongoing economic crisis in Sri Lanka. By tweeting, he told the Modi government that the crowd of Lanka should not become a refugee in India. He tweeted that in view of the invasion of the privacy of the homes of Sri Lanka’s elected leaders and the hate speech on Twitter by the mob, it is clear that the current crisis in Sri Lanka is engineered. India has to ensure that later this mob does not turn into refugees in India.
Swamy also targeted the Sri Lankan protesters. Swamy tweeted and wrote that it is heartening to see that Indians on Twitter as a whole use civilized language. But the Sri Lankan mob on Twitter is obscene and rude. Civilized Sri Lankans should oppose this mob and show them their place.
Swamy has advocated military aid to Sri Lanka. He tweeted on Sunday that both Gotabaya and Mahinda Rajapakse were elected with thumping majority in a free election. How can India allow mobs to subvert such a legitimate election? Then no democratic country in our neighborhood will be safe. If Rajapaksa wants India’s military help, we should.
The Indian Coast Guard is operating the hovercraft from the Mandapam base near Rameswaram. The Indian Coast Guard is on high alert along the maritime border with Sri Lanka to stop illegal immigration from there due to the ongoing political and economic crisis. Due to the ongoing economic crisis there, there is a possibility of illegal migrants coming.
On the other hand, Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will resign on July 13 itself and he has informed Sri Lankan PM Ranil Wickremesinghe about it. Giving information from the PM’s Office, it has been told that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has officially informed PM Ranil Wickremesinghe that he will resign as announced earlier.
