‘Rhea Chakraborty used to take ganja and give it to Sushant Singh Rajput’: Allegations in NCB chargesheet

The Narcotics Control Bureau has made actress Rhea Chakraborty an accused in the actor Sushant Singh drugs case. In this case, the agency has filed a charge sheet, in which the name of Rhea Chakraborty is also included. It has been alleged in the NCB chargesheet that Rhea Chakraborty used to take ganja and give it to Sushant Singh Rajput. Rhea is accused of buying small amounts of ganja and financing the purchase. The agency has said that Rhea Chakraborty bought ganja and delivered it to Sushant Singh Rajput, he paid several times to buy ganja in exchange for the late actor.

The NCB said in the chargesheet, “…accused No.10 Riya Chakraborty received multiple deliveries of Ganja from accused No.6 Samuel Miranda, Accused No.7 Sauvik Chakraborty and Accused No.8 Dipesh Sawant and others and gave them to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. and paid for those deliveries in exchange for Sauvik and Rajput between March, 2020 and September, 2020, hence they are accused.”

In this drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput, the agency has made 34 others including Riya Chakraborty accused. If Riya is proved guilty in this case, then she can be sentenced to at least 10 years.

Rhea Chakraborty was arrested in this case in September 2020. She was in jail for almost a month, after which the Mumbai High Court granted her bail, since then she has been out on bail. Rhea has described the ongoing investigation against her as a “witch-hunt”.

The process of investigation of drugs case started when on June 14, 2020, the body of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found from his house in Bandra. The CBI is probing his death, although the Mumbai Police had called it a suicide.

After the drugs angle came to the fore, the entire Bollywood and TV industry was in the grip of it and many big and small actors were questioned.
