An exorcist had threatened both the families that the husbands of both the girls would die after marriage. Following the advice of the exorcist, both the families adopted this path. Fine imposed on superstitious family

The Baiga (priest of the tribals) and the fraternity of the village expressed their displeasure on the information about the marriage between the two girls. Not only this, a meeting of the Panchayat was held accusing both the families of promoting superstition. After the meeting that lasted for hours, the panchayat imposed a penalty of two goats and rice banquet on both the families. However, refusing to accept the verdict, both the families said that they have taken this step for the happiness of their daughters.
