Not only were all the rituals performed in the marriage, but the residents were also given a feast. Relatives say that both the girls are adults and to save their future husbands from death yoga, marriage has been done. On getting information, the tribal panchayat has also imposed punishment on both the superstitious families.
In the village last Monday night, in the presence of relatives, two girls got married among themselves. The girl who became the groom reached the bride’s door with a procession and the marriage was concluded by law. Not only this, after the worship at the public place of the village, food was also provided to the processions. It is being told that this marriage was not a trick. An exorcist had threatened both the families that the husbands of both the girls would die after marriage. Following the advice of the exorcist, both the families adopted this path. After the video of the wedding went viral on Friday, the market of discussions got heated in the entire district.
Fine imposed on superstitious family
The Baiga (priest of the tribals) and the fraternity of the village expressed their displeasure on the information about the marriage between the two girls. Not only this, a meeting of the Panchayat was held accusing both the families of promoting superstition. After the meeting that lasted for hours, the panchayat imposed a penalty of two goats and rice banquet on both the families. However, refusing to accept the verdict, both the families said that they have taken this step for the happiness of their daughters.
