Uttarakhand / Haridwar : Pipeline broken for a year, department oblivious

In Rasulpur Gram Panchayat of Laldhang, pipeline leakage is being done by the tube well department. Due to which the villagers, including school children, are getting injured due to mud in the road. At the same time, the department remains oblivious even after getting the information.

In some villages of Laldhang area, government drinking water facility is operational. In other villages, the villagers arrange drinking water from government hand pumps or from their own level. Even in villages where drinking water facility is available, some people face problems every day. In the Gram Panchayat Rasulpur, the pipeline of tube well number-7, operated by the tube well department, has been broken for more than a year. Out of which water is being wasted for 24 hours, while the road from Laldhang to Rasulpur has become muddy. Villagers Pankaj Chamoli, Rakesh Bisht, Veer Singh Tadiyal, Virendra Tadiyal, Sanju Joshi, Rohit Rana told that the pipeline is damaged every day. In many places, due to the damage of the line, the dirty water is going back to the houses of the people reaching the same pipeline, due to which the villagers are forced to drink the contaminated water. In the past, no action has been taken even after submitting the application. Villagers say that if there is no permanent solution to the problem soon, then they will be forced to agitate, whose responsibility will be of the tube well department. At the same time, Assistant Engineer of Tubewell Department, Satendra Bisht told that he had received a call from the villagers, employees are being sent to the spot.
