What is the full story?
This strange case is of Balehosur village of Laxmeshwar taluk. It is being told that the people of the government and the administration were demanding to build a bus shelter for about 40 years. However, due to construction, the bus shelter was converted into a dumping yard. Due to which people had to wait for the bus at this place even in the sun and rain. When things did not work out, the villagers themselves raised money and built a bus shelter on their own. Neither the officials nor the legislators helped in this. The big thing was that to protest, people made a buffalo the chief guest.
Unique way of protesting
Farmer leader Lokesh Jalavadgi says that we had also submitted a memorandum to get the bus shelter built. Spoke to MLA and MP also. But, no one listened to us. He says that the total population of the village is five thousand and hundreds of students travel to nearby cities for studies. So, we decided that we will oppose it in a unique way. The villagers built the roof of the shelter out of coconut branches and made a buffalo the chief guest. The buffalo was brought decorated and then the ribbon was cut. Whose picture went viral on social media and people are enjoying it fiercely.
