Modi government amended the ‘Flag Code of India’, now the tricolor can be hoisted day and night at your home

Now you can hoist the national flag of India day and night at your home, because the Modi government has amended the ‘Flag Code of India’. This time before the 75th Independence Day, the central government has made this important change in the ‘Flag Code of India’. Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla wrote a letter to the Chief Secretaries of all the states on Wednesday (July 20, 2022) saying that these new rules will come into force from this date.
In the letter, he has written that whether the flag is displayed in the open or displayed at the residence of a citizen, it can be flown day and night. However, earlier it was a rule that the national flag can be flown at home from sunrise to sunset, irrespective of the weather conditions. This is being done so that people are excited to put up the tricolor flag on their respective homes. India is currently celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostava’.
Under this ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has also been brought. To strengthen this campaign, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has been brought. From August 13 to August 15, people have been asked to hoist the tricolor flag at their respective homes. The aim of the central government is that this will further strengthen the sentiments of the people attached to the national flag. It is expected that the tricolor will be hoisted over about 30 crore houses during this campaign.
The move came as the government is going to launch a 'Har Ghar Tiranga' (hoisting of flag in every home) from August 13 to 15 as part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. https://t.co/i3Yt1tfSHK
