Shamshera gave a big blow to Yash Raj, fourth consecutive flop, miracle did not happen even on the second day

Yash Raj Films, the biggest production house of Bollywood, is celebrating 50 years of its inception this year and ironically it is going through its possibly worst phase ever. His film Shamshera, which released on Friday, proved to be his fourth consecutive flop film in 2022. After the box office opening of a little more than 10 crores on the first day, the situation did not improve even on the second day and the collection on Saturday was almost the same as the first day. It became clear that no miracle is happening now, which can save the film from flopping. Even the arrival of Ranbir Kapoor after four years could not mobilize the audience at the ticket window.

No room for improvement
After Bunty Aur Babli 2, Samrat Prithviraj, Jayesh Bhai Jordar this year, Shamshera has now proved to be a loss-making deal for Yash Raj Films. Especially Samrat Prithviraj and Shamshera were big budget films, in which Yash Raj Films went out of its way and entered the world of history. The non-running of films is a different matter, but the most important thing is that these films were completely rejected by the audience. The producer was also criticized for making such films. Especially the content of the film. Box office experts are telling that after Shamshera’s 10.25 crores on the first day, the numbers on the second day also remained the same. There is no room for improvement in these on Sunday and the coming days. In such a situation, the weekend of Shamshera will be only 30 to 33 crores and the first week’s collection will sit close to Rs 50 crores. Its life time business is estimated to stop within 60 crores. While the budget of the film is said to be Rs 150 crore.

Now what next
Along with the makers of Shamshera, this film is also a big setback for Ranbir Kapoor as his another ambitious film Brahmastra is all set to release this September. These results of Shamshera are enough to make the producers-directors of Brahmastra sleepless because once again it is clear that the audience is no longer ready to watch weak content. Even the magic of stars is not working. Whether it is the hero, or how many action and VFX scenes are there in the film. If the story is weak and there is no entertainment in the film, then the audience is not ready to buy expensive theater tickets.
