Uttarakhand : License canceled of Padma Shri awardee doctor

Due to wrong treatment, Uttarakhand Medical Council has taken action against Plastic Surgeon Padma Shri Dr. Yogi Aeron. Dr Yogi Aron’s license has been suspended for three months. The council has also issued a warning to his son Dr. Kush Aron. Dr. Yogi Aaron will also have to submit his registration to the council.
Complainant Neeta Thapa said she had approached the octogenarian plastic surgeon after she noticed a medium-sized wart just above her upper lip. In his complaint, he claimed that the doctor took a section of skin from his forehead without permission to perform the nose surgery. Two lakh rupees were charged for the surgery. The complaint said that about Rs 10 lakh was spent on this surgery, due to which I was burdened with debt.

After receiving the complaint, the Medical Council constituted an inquiry committee of Dr. Madhubani of AIIMS Rishikesh, Dr. Praveen Panwar from PMHS and Dr. Anjali Nautiyal from the Council. Meanwhile, Dr Yogi Aaron alleged that the complaint was made with “malicious intent” and the patient was already suffering from depression. She claimed, ‘During the Kovid lockdown, her own beauty parlor business was over.’
In the year 2020, President Ram Nath Kovind honored Dr Yogi with Padma Shri. Following the complaint of the woman, an inquiry committee was formed by the Medical Council which found that the correct norms were not followed in the treatment.
