Uttarakhand / Kashipur : Innocent found at railway station sent to Almora Shishu Niketan

No information could be found about the relatives of a one and a half year old innocent girl who was found five days ago at Kashipur railway station. After a lot of research, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) has sent the innocent to Shishu Niketan, Almora.

On the morning of July 19, at around eight o’clock in the morning of Kashipur railway station, a one and a half year old innocent girl was found crying. RPF constable Jeevan Singh took the girl under his protection and tried to find her parents but RPF could not get any success. RPF post in-charge Randeep Singh called CWC member Harneet Kaur and handed over the girl to him.

Harneet said that publicity was spread through newspapers and social media to trace the parents of the girl child. The girl was kept in the child help line located in Rudrapur for three days but no one came to pick her up. On this, the committee headed by CWC chairperson Premlata Singh decided to send the innocent to Shishu Niketan in Almora. The girl was sent to Almora on Saturday.
