LG’s big action amid the fight on liquor in AAP-BJP, 11 officers including the then Excise Commissioner suspended

The tussle continues between the Kejriwal government and LG VK Saxena over the liquor policy in Delhi. On Saturday, while Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia targeted former LG Anil Baijal, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena attacked the then Excise Commissioner of Delhi.  11 officials, including Aarav Gopi Krishna, have been suspended for lapse in implementing the excise policy.While BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has welcomed the decision of LG, BJP leader Sambit Patra said that Arvind Kejriwal has implemented the new liquor policy.  There was a mistake in it. While the LG has acted according to the rules.

Taking action on Saturday, LG VK Saxena has ordered suspension and disciplinary proceedings against the then Delhi Excise Commissioner Arva Gopi Krishna and the then Deputy Commissioner Anand Kumar Tiwari. Along with this, suspension orders have been given against 9 other officers of the Excise Department.

The LG has taken this order in view of the serious lapse in the implementation of the excise policy on the part of the concerned authorities. This includes finding irregularities in tendering and providing post tender benefits to selected vendors.

What did Manish Sisodia say?

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia accused former Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal of changing his stand on opening liquor shops in unauthorized areas.  Also said that the government was harmed by stopping the new excise policy in Delhi.  Asking the question, Manish Sisodia said that on whose behest did the LG take this decision.  Sisodia said that he has sent the details of the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Sambit Patra said – Kejriwal messed up in the new liquor policy

BJP leader Sambit Patra countered the allegations of Manish Sisodia.  He said that the Delhi LG has worked according to the rules.  He said that neither the blacklisted companies could be given tenders nor they could open the contracts, but the blacklisted companies had also opened the contracts.  He said that even the cartel is not allowed in the tender, but it was also allowed by Manish Sisodia.  He said that Kejriwal has made a mistake in the new liquor policy.

Manoj Tiwari said – punishment for the sin of bad policy is certain.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has welcomed the action of Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Saxena. He said that the sin that Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal have committed by imposing the bad policy of liquor on Delhi, they will definitely be punished. Why should he not give any explanation to cover the sins? Kejriwal’s evil conspiracy against Delhi will also end badly. MP Manoj Tiwari said that today’s big action has proved that Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal are going to get some big punishment soon due to the investigation. After which neither Kejriwal nor Manish Sisodia will have the courage to face the people of Delhi.

Manoj Tiwari said that one by one all the evidence is exposing his anti-Delhi policies against the Kejriwal government of Delhi. Everyone in Delhi has now come to know that the liquor policy was meant to ruin Delhi. This conspiracy was hatched by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself for his selfishness by carrying out a big scam. Its secret will also be exposed by investigation.

BJP state president Adesh Gupta also retaliated

BJP has retaliated after Manish Sisodia’s allegation. Delhi State BJP President Adesh Gupta said that the Delhi government had brought a new liquor policy, the committee formed for this was chaired by Manish Sisodia and Satendra Jain. The money gained from liquor was used in the Punjab elections.

Adesh Gupta asked the question who was the chairman of the new liquor policy. Who was the chairman of the group and the minister. Both of them were headed by Deputy CM. Dry days have been reduced in Delhi. 50% duty fee waived on import of beer. Money was to be used in the Punjab elections, so in a hurry, came up with a liquor policy. He said that why the Deputy CM remained silent from November till now. The people of Delhi have won and the liquor brokers have lost.
