The incident happened on Wednesday night. There was a stir on Roorkee-Dehradun road when some miscreants opened fire on two bike riders. Nadeem son of Shamim resident of Poohana was seriously injured in the firing. The youth was immediately admitted to the hospital. Seeing the critical condition of the youth, the doctors have referred him to a higher center. The matter is being linked to old rivalry. The police reached the hospital on the spot and took complete information about the incident.

According to the family members of the injured, Nadeem was going to Roorkee by bike with one of his friends late in the evening. On Roorkee-Dehradun road, six people tried to forcibly stop his bike. On protest, one of the youths opened indiscriminate firing on Nadeem. In a hurry, the people nearby took Nadeem to Roorkee Civil Hospital. From where the doctors referred him to AIIMS Rishikesh. The name of the accused is said to be Mobin, a resident of Rampur. At present, the police is investigating the case.
