Uttarakhand / Pauri : Environment friends continue to picket to increase honorarium
According to the announcement of the Chief Minister, the outsourced environment friends in the Municipal Corporation, demanding an honorarium of Rs 500 per day, continued on Saturday as well. At the same time, BJP leaders have also requested the Municipal Corporation to solve the problem of environmental friends.
In compliance with the announcement of the Chief Minister, the contractual environment friends working in municipal corporation are getting 15 thousand rupees per month at the rate of 500 rupees, while 20 outsourced environment friends of the corporation are still working on an honorarium of eight thousand rupees per month. .
Enraged due to non-receipt of honorarium of Rs 500 per day, environment friends are staging a four-hour dharna from 11 am to 3 pm every day since August 17. The strike continued on Saturday as well.
On Saturday, BJP State Working Committee member Atar Singh Aswal and RTI activist Kushalanath held talks with the officials of the corporation and tehsil administration, including environmental friends sitting on the dharna. He asked Tehsildar Shrestha Gunsola and Corporation’s Health Inspector Shashi Singh Panwar to solve the problem of environment friends at the earliest.
