Power crisis may deepen in many areas of the capital for a few days, which is obviously a problem. It is being told that from August 29 to August 31, there will be a problem in power supply for three days in a dozen areas connected with Basant Vihar power station under urban power section South. According to media reports, due to the shutdown in these areas from 10 am to 4 pm on 29, 30 and 31 August, there may be partial and complete interruption of power supply.
During this period, capacity enhancement of transformers and repair of power lines will be done at some places.

The Energy Department has appealed to the people to make alternate arrangements for electricity from 10 am to 4 pm and complete their important works before that. It also tells about the areas where there will be shutdown. According to the information, power supply may remain disrupted for the next few days in many areas like Panditwadi, ITBP 11 KV feeder, Sadbhavna Kunj, Police Chowk, Dhartawala, Atlantic Club, Ekta Vihar, Upasana Enclave, CBI Colony, Indiranagar, Shastri Nagar etc. In such a situation people will have to depend on generators.
