Uttarakhand : Goods train engine derailed in Kashipur, stirred up officials

In Uttarakhand, the engine of a train carrying goods in the yard of a factory located in Himmatpur, Kashipur derailed on line number six of the rake yard of Kashipur station. Prima facie, due to the electrification work being done there, it is being said that the engine derailed after colliding with the electric pole. After about two and a half hours, the sport from Lalkuan picked up the engine with a jack.
This goods train had come to the yard at Himmatpur on Wednesday carrying the goods of a factory. Leaving the rake there, the driver came to Kashipur railway station with the engine. He moved the engine to the side of the rackyard. From there the engine was being brought to stand at one place. The engine derailed after hitting an electric pole at around 3.15 pm. The incident was reported to the Railway Control Room. The incident caused a stir from the officers to the employees.
On information, Station Superintendent GP Kashmera, Loco Inspector Rajendra Singh, Traffic Inspector SK Rai, RPF Inspector Randeep Meena etc. reached the spot. Rail traffic was not affected due to derailment on the rack side of the engine. On information, Automatic Accident Relief Train (ART) arrived from Lalkuan. At around quarter to six in the evening, the SPORT team installed a jack and put the engine on the track by putting a power jack.
In this matter, the officers who reached the spot presented their joint report. Detention of the engine is said to be about two and a half hours. Rajendra Singh, PRO of Izzatnagar division said that the engine has been brought back on track with the power sent from Lalkuan. In this case, responsibility will be fixed after departmental inquiry and departmental disciplinary action will be taken against the personnel responsible for this.
