Uttarakhand : Car going to Kotdwar fell into a ditch, two people died, one injured hospitalised

A painful accident took place in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand on Tuesday morning. A car fell into the Panchrad river near village Koladaria on Kotdwar Pokhara Baijro road. Two people on board died on the spot while one youth was seriously injured. He is being treated at the Community Health Center Bironkhal. The accident took place on the Pokhara-Badjon road at 9.30 am on Tuesday.
Thalisain SHO Satendra Bhandari and Regional Revenue Sub-Inspector Pradeep Rawat told that a car was coming from Kotdwar to Bajro. Suddenly the car went out of control near the village Koladaria and fell into the Panchrad river 50 meters below. Hearing the noise, the people of the nearby village reached the spot. As soon as the information was received, the police of Thalisain police station reached the spot. Rescue operation was carried out with the help of local people.
Driver Rohit Kumar (25) son Satyanarayan resident of Noida and Kundan Singh (55) son Thakur Singh resident of village Kulinda Birkhal Pauri Garhwal were found dead inside the car. Sunil Singh (36) son Khushhal Singh, resident of village Panjena Birkhal was brought from the river to the road in a critical condition. Local MLA and cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj has expressed grief over the car accident. He has given instructions to the hospital administration to make proper arrangements for the treatment of the injured.
Injured Sunil Singh told that he works in Noida. On Monday evening, Noida left for his village Panjena by car. His Tai’s Shradh was on Wednesday. For this he had come by booking a car. Former soldier Kundan Singh also sat in his car in Satpuli. The car met with an accident before reaching Bajero.
Panchnama of both the deceased was done at the Community Health Center Bironkhal. The bodies have been handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem.
