Madhya Pradesh : Seeing this female porter “number 36”, people are surprised, the officer wants to make children, the female porter is the only one among 45 porters

“Even though my dreams are shattered, the spirit is still alive. Life took away my companion from me, but now it is my dream to educate children and make them an officer in the army. For this I will not spread my hand in front of anyone. I am a porter number 36 and eat with respect.” This is to say of 31 year old lady porter Sandhya.
People are surprised to see the female porter
At Katni railway station in Madhya Pradesh, Porter Sandhya is carrying the burden of passengers, taking the responsibility of taking good care of old mother-in-law and three children on her shoulders every day. After getting the license of a railway porter in her name, facing the biggest challenges, when she walks on the platform with courage and hard work, people are surprised and at the same time forced to salute her spirit.

Husband died due to illness
At the age of 30, she was handling the work of the hearth-mill along with taking care of the children, meanwhile destiny betrayed her. Laughter, life suddenly changed its course and the disease took husband Bholaram in its lap and a few days later the husband died.
Faltering house status
After the death of her husband, the concern of raising children and two times’ bread started haunting Sandhya, then with courage, Sandhya acted courageously. She took care of herself for the sake of the children and made sure that no matter what, she would leave no stone unturned to bring up the best of the children.
Officers want to make all three children in the army
Sandhya has three children, Shahil age 8 years, Harshit 6 years old and daughter Payal 4 years old. For the maintenance and better education of all the three children, she is teaching the children by carrying the burden of the world. Sandhya wants her children to become officers in the army to serve the country.
Only female porter among 45 porters
After the death of her husband Bholaram, Sandhya has been carrying weight on her head and shoulders like men since January 2017. Sandhya is the only female porter among the 45 porters in Katni station. She reaches the station and is making her living for the children carrying the burden on her head along with fellow porters, shouting to lift the luggage of the passengers.
She keeps sobbing in her husband’s memories
Due to the untimely lifting of her husband’s shadow, Sandhya is left sobbing only in the memories. The biggest responsibility in front of her is the service of the old mother-in-law and the upbringing of the children.
Travels a distance of 270 kms per day
Sandhya is not only carrying the burden of the world every day, but she is also collecting a few rupees by traveling 270 kms every day. Sandhya travels 45 km from Kundam every day to reach Jabalpur railway station and then reach Katni. After working there, she returns to Jabalpur and then home. Going through so many difficulties every day, working for the sake of the children.
