The effect of the Tata Group acquisition started showing on Air India, only a few months after the privatization, the refund of crores was done

The airline has been witnessing a lot of changes since Air India joined the Tata Group. On Monday, Air India said that within a few months of privatization, the company has issued a refund of Rs 150 crore.

The Tata Group had won the Air India bid on October 8 last year. The Tata Group had completed the process of acquisition of the airline by 27 January 2022. Since then the Tata Group has been taking steps to reform the airline.

It has been said on behalf of Air India that the company has started the process of clearing the old pending refunds expeditiously. So far, more than Rs 150 crore people have been refunded in more than 2,50,000 cases. The company further said that post privatization the process has been changed, making the refund process faster than before.

Refund will be given in two to three days
According to Air India, now on applying for a refund on the airline’s website, the money is given back in two to three days. However, it may take some time before the refund is processed in the banking system and credit card to reach the customer’s account.

Tata Group engaged in shining Air India
The Tata Group is engaged in the transformation of Air India. Campbell Wilson has been appointed as the CEO and MD of Air India. Some time ago a plan of Tata Group for the transformation of Air India ‘Vihaan.AI’ came out, in which the future plans of Air India were mentioned. The company plans to achieve a 30 per cent stake in the domestic aircraft industry by 2025 and launch a number of new flights.
