Uttarakhand : No rhetoric on sensitive issue, opposition should cooperate with investigative agencies- Manveer Chauhan

BJP said that the SIT investigation into Ankita’s murder is going on and the government is doing everything possible to get the murderers punished for their crime. Party’s state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chouhan dismissed the allegations of Congress and said that such politics on such sensitive issues is irresponsible move. He said that the law is taking its course and the SIT is engaged in collecting evidence against the accused. He said that as soon as the police took up the matter, the killers were arrested within 12 hours and Ankita’s body was also recovered in 24 hours. He said that the allegation of tampering with the evidence was also baseless as the spot was handed over to the police and the SIT and the police had collected evidence before the hotel was vandalized. He said that the Chief Minister himself is keeping an eye on the matter and so far there is no scope to benefit anyone in this. After the name came in the case, the brother and father of the accused were expelled from the party.

Chouhan said that the Chief Minister has already assured to bring the guilty under the purview of the law and punish them and work is also being done to ensure that such incidents do not happen in future. Proceedings are going on in the state-run hotels without standards. There the verification process is also going on. Legal proceedings are going on in the matter and getting justice to Ankita is the priority of the BJP and the opposition needs to come forward to help the investigating agencies. So that the culprits of Ankita can be punished severely.
