After this the purchase of onions started. His onion was sold between 80 paise to 1.25 rupees per kg. In this way, 330 rupees of onion reached him. Ashok Gami, a resident of Kanardi, said that good onion is being sold at Rs 8 to 11 per kg in the mandi, while medium quality onion is being sold between Rs 5 and 8. The quality of onion which is very weak is being sold for less than Re 1 per kg. The quality of Jairam’s onion was also very bad. Due to being a small onion, it was sold from 80 paise to a quarter of a kilo. He admitted that the farmer has suffered a loss, but the traders themselves are also regretting about this whole incident.

Shajapur’s in-charge and Congress leader Maqsood Ali told that the land of farmers cultivating garlic and onions has come on the verge of sale. There was an agitation in Shajapur 3 days ago under the leadership of former minister Sajjan Verma.
