IAS apologizes for making ‘condom remark’ to student in Bihar

Bihar’s IAS Harjot Kaur Bhamra has expressed regret about her statement. Issuing a letter, she wrote, “If the sentiments of any girl child or participant have been hurt due to some words said in the program, then I express my regret to Harjot Kaur, President cum Management Director. A school student from Bihar had asked a simple question to the IAS officer, “Can the government also provide sanitary pads for 20 to 30 rupees?” Answering this question, IAS officer Harjot Kaur Bhamra gave a strange answer. He said, “Tomorrow you will say – the government can also give jeans. And then why not beautiful shoes?”
