Telangana : Dussehra rally, Sangh, BJP leaders were planning to attack; 3 Lashkar suspects arrested from Hyderabad

Police arrested three people for plotting a terrorist attack in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. Police have seized four grenades, cash worth Rs 5 lakh 41 thousand 800, 5 mobile phones and a motorcycle from their possession. It is suspected that all three are linked to Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. According to media reports, all three suspects have also been accused of attacking Sangh and BJP leaders. However, it is not mentioned in the statements he has given before the State Counter-Intelligence Cell and the Special Task Force.

According to the police statement, Abdul Zahid of Malakpet re-contacted with Pakistan-based ISI with old associates for plotting blasts and other terrorist acts. He was earlier also involved in several cases related to terrorism in Hyderabad.

Zahid had received a consignment of 4 grenades
The statement said that Zahid had received a consignment of four grenades and was on his way to carry out the sensational terror attack in Hyderabad. A team of police acted swiftly and arrested Abdul Zahid of Akbar Bagh, Mohammad of Syedabad, Sameeruddin and Maz Hasan Farooq of Humayun Nagar, Mehdipatnam.

Zahid was involved in terror cases earlier also
Preliminary investigations revealed that Abdul Zahid was previously involved in several terrorism-related cases in Hyderabad, including the 2005 suicide attack on the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner’s task force office at Begumpet. He was in constant touch with the masters of the Pakistani ISI and LeT.

Three terrorists fled from Hyderabad to Pakistan
The investigation also revealed that Farhatullah Ghori, wanted in several terror cases and natives of Hyderabad city, Siddiqui bin Usman and Abdul Majeed had absconded. All three settled in Pakistan and are now working under the masters of ISI. The police team will take further action based on the interrogation of the accused.
