Maharashtra : Tragic accident in Nashik, a bus full of passengers caught fire, 11 people burnt alive

A tragic accident has happened in Nashik, Maharashtra. Around 11 people have died due to a fire in a bus here. Police said the accident happened on Friday night. Due to being a sleeper bus, the passengers were sleeping at the time of the accident. At present, the injured have been taken to the hospital. It is feared that the number of people who lost their lives in the accident may increase.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that an inquiry has been ordered into the incident. Along with this, the government has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh. He informed that a discussion has been held with the District Magistrate regarding this.

Nashik Police has expressed the possibility of death of many people in the accident. It is reported that the moving bus caught fire. At the same time, it is being told in some media reports that the bus full of passengers overturned, after which the fire broke out. More than 30 passengers were aboard the bus that fell victim to the accident. In these, about 11 people died. Whereas, 25 people have been injured.

The bus that crashed was on its way from Yavatmal to Mumbai. The accident happened around 4 am. According to reports, the passengers were sleeping at the time of the incident and did not get a chance to escape. Statistics show that about 25 people have got scorched in it.
