When a deceased is accompanied by relatives, the dead body is handed over to them. Now whether their family members are taking the dead bodies or not, it is their responsibility. In such a situation, it is not possible for us to take back the body. Only his family members will have to perform the last rites. If there is any dispute in this, then it should be settled with the cooperation of the police. We can keep the dead body in the mortuary only if the police tells us. Once the body is handed over to the relatives, the role of the hospital in it ends.
